Spacefruit Becky crawford creates
My Plastic Jewellery

I make these from plastic bottles I find on the beaches as well as from a recycling center where they’d otherwise be turned into things like carpets!

Each shape is cut out individually by hand so no two necklaces turn out the same, so colours will vary! almost every colour combination is possible but please be aware that purple is very rare! (Donations gratefully recieved)

The ‘Nurdle’ necklaces are made from tiny plastic grains (Nurdles) which are the start of everything made from plastic. they are transported by sea and are easily spilled - Our beaches in cornwall are full of them. They cause huge damage to our sea life as they are mistaken for fish eggs and eaten.

Spacefruit Becky crawford creates
My Silver Jewellery

Using simple techniques I love to create jewellery which is more than a decorative piece. I’ve a;llways been fascinated by how jewellery in other cultures can be an amulet or charm for magic or protection. My mixed treasure necklaces have been inspired by this thought as well as by little collections i make from my beachcombing booty.

I also like my jewellery to respond in some way to being worn, usually by tinkling or catching the light as it moves, or by being tactile so drawing the wearer to touch it. I think this is especially important with necklaces as we cant see them when were wearing them! Mostly I make jewellery I’d like to wear myself.

Welcome to my website where you can view & buy the silver & plastic jewellery, textiles, doodles & paintings, photographs & any other objects that I create. I use lots of recycled & reclaimed materials & try to be as environmentally aware as possible.

As everything is made to order, each item is unique & can be exactly as you’d like it to be; please state preferences in the comments page as you check out. This also means there are times when I’m very busy so please allow up to 3 weeks for delivery.

I’m back living in my home county of Herefordshire after 10 years of being by the sea-side (mostly in Cornwall). The sea is still a massive influence on me, as is the beautiful rolling scenery & Welsh mountains that I see from my studio. I people-watch constantly - so beware; you may find yourself being turned into one of my crazy textile characters!

This website will have new work on it regularly so please keep coming back to look.

If you have a particular request or enquiry, please contact me. If you’d like to see more of my work you’re welcome to make an appointment to come & visit me. I’ll always be pleased to hear from you with any commissions or even just your comments & thoughts on my work.
